Blue Formula, Nissan Teana On Accelera PHI

Nissan Teana is quite rarely modified, especially in Indonesia. There are several possible causes, such as limited aftermarket support, few references, and most wandering Nissan Teana are no longer salvageable.

This in itself is a challenge for Mr. D who is not afraid to take risks by totally modifying a Nissan Teana V6 J31.

The concept promoted by Mr. D is VIP Style. However, this is a challenge because installing wide wheels in the Nissan Teana without widening the body is very difficult, and the space under the fender is small.

Then the suspension geometry of this car is also a challenge. Because when the pressure is running, the camber automatically changes to minus, and the wheels will poke out. Meanwhile, when the air is out, the camber changes in a positive direction and the position of the wheels go inside due to the flexible arm position. 

Moreover, the V-shaped arms often bottom out first when air-out. Kuple from Cuanki Autoparts, who takes care of the undercarriage of the Nissan Teana, had to think many times for the fitment to fit.

Finally, Kuple created a custom camber/caster/toe. In addition, a custom pillowball and arms are also made in front, as well as a complicated custom rear camber/caster/toe kit.

Lastly in the undercarriage sector, the 2-point universal Feelair air suspension system sits firmly in the trunk.

To be harmonious, a simple custom body kit is embedded, following the curves of the front and rear bumper lines. Blue paint was sprayed on the body of this car by Paduka Auto Garage.

Mr. D then chose SSR SP3 because it was considered to have an aggressive face. But because of the small fender space mentioned earlier, the size is limited to 19x9 with an offset of 30-32.

For tyres, of course, Accelera PHI tyres that are stretched slightly with the size of 215/35 and 225/35.

"Yes, it is commonplace, because Accelera Phi is very elastic and suitable in my opinion for wide wheels," said Kuple.

 

Indonesia 

Nissan Teana nyatanya cukup jarang diulik, terutama di Indonesia. Ada beberapa kemungkinan penyebabnya, misalnya support aftermarket yang terbatas, referensi yang sedikit, serta kebanyakan Nissan Teana yang berkeliaran sudah tidak bisa diselamatkan.

Hal ini sendiri merupakan tantangan bagi Mr. D yang tidak takut mengambil resiko dengan secara totalitas memodifikasi sebuah Nissan Teana V6 J31.

Konsep yang diusung oleh Mr. D adalah VIP Style. Namun hal ini menjadi tantangan karena untuk memasang velg lebar di Nissan Teana tanpa melebarkan bodi sangatlah sulit, ruang fendernya termasuk kecil.

Kemudian geometri suspensi mobil ini juga menjadi tantangan. Karena Ketika pressure jalan, camber otomatis berubah minus, dan posisi velg menjadi keluar. Sedangkan saat air out, camber berubah ke arah positif dan posisi velg masuk ke dalam disebabkan posisi arm yang fleksibel. 

Apalagi, arm berbentuk V sering mentok duluan ketika air-out. Kuple dari Cuanki Autoparts yang mengurus kaki-kaki dari Nissan Teana ini pun harus berpikir berkali-kali agar fitmentnya pas.

Akhirnya, Kuple membuat custom camber/caster/toe. Selain itu dibuat juga depan custom pillowball dan arm di depan, serta custom rear camber/caster/toe kit yang rumit.

Terakhir pada sektor kaki-kaki, sistem suspensi udara Feelair universal 2-point duduk anteng di bagasi.

Agar harmonis, disematkan bodykit custom yang simple, mengikuti lekukan garis bumper depan dan belakang. Cat biru pun disemprotkan ke bodi mobil ini oleh Paduka Auto Garage.

Mr. D kemudian memilih SSR SP3 karena dinilai memiliki face yang agresif. Tapi karena ruang fender yang kecil tadi, maka ukurannya dibatasi pada 19x9 dengan offset 30-32.

Untuk ban, tentunya menggunakan ban Accelera PHI yang ditarik sedikit, yaitu ukuran 215/35 dan 225/35.

“Ya sudah lumrah, sebab Accelera Phi sangat elastis dan cocok menurut saya untuk velg-velg lumayan lebar,” ujar Kuple.
