PT. Elangperdana Tyre Industry Provide Solar Power

Back on January 6 2021, PT. Elangperdana Tyre Industry partnered up with Cleantech Solar, one of Asia’s biggest photovoltaic companies to provide solar power as big as 4.5 MW.

The reason behind this business partnership is to fulfil PT. Elangperdana Tyre Industry wishes of generating more than 136.300 MWh of clean energy or around the same as reducing more  than 117,500 tons of Co2.

Cleantech Solar themself provides an all around solution and makes sure all the PV systems work for the 25 years partnership deal.

By using clean energy like solar power, Elangperdana Tyre Industry can use cleaner electricity that’s also cheaper for the manufacturing process without any further investment. This step also contributes to the Indonesia target for renewable energy usage of 23% by the year 2025.

“Other than aiming for a environmentally friendly future, we wanted to increase the awareness of the public about environmental conservation because this solar power project will play a huge role on reducing our carbon emission,” said Dicky Mursalie, Managing Director of PT. Elangperdana Tyre Industry

“The location of Indonesia which is in a tropical area is a very strategic place since the sun is a very rich natural resource. With a continuous effort as an environmentally friendly cooperation that’s carrying positive value to the community where we operate, PT. Elangperdana Tyre Industry will always take similar steps for the staff, people, and environment,” Dicky continued.

Meanwhile, Raju Shukla, Founder and Executive Chairman of Cleantech Solar stated, “Cleantech Solar is happy to partner up with Elang Perdana in transitioning to renewable energy sources. We expect more similar collaboration in Indonesia that will help companies to reach their target of environment conservation and cost cutting, and also contributing to the Indonesia target of sustainable growth.”
