If you’re using a car with a manual transmission, then it’s going to be an easier process than a car with an automatic transmission. With a manual transmission car, you only have to put your car in Neutral and then let go of your handbrake. That way, the car can be moved freely without the wheels being locked by the brakes or the transmission. 

However, if you are using a car with an automatic transmission, there are a few things you have to take note of when towing an automatic car.  First, you have to know what type of car you have. Is it a front wheel drive, rear wheel drive or an all wheel drive car? 

Either way, when being towed you have to have the wheels off the ground so it doesn’t destroy the transmission, in this case you have an all wheel drive car then you have to get all the wheels off the ground by using a flatbed tow truck for example.

If you are not able to get proper towing and need to be pulled by another car with 4 wheels on the ground, do make sure you are not doing it for long periods of time since it may damage the drivetrain of your beloved car. Lastly, make sure to put it in neutral. So make sure you know all these things when towing your car.

Intinya ketika sedang ditarik, roda tidak boleh menempel pada tanah agar tidak merusak transmisi, dalam hal ini kamu mempunyai mobil all wheel drive maka kamu harus melepaskan semua rodanya dari tanah dengan menggunakan truk derek berjenis flatbed.

Jika kamu tidak mendapatkan truk towing untuk membawa mobilmu dan terpaksa harus ditarik oleh mobil lain dengan 4 roda di atas tanah, pastikan kamu tidak melakukannya dalam jangka waktu lama karena dapat merusak sistem pergerakan roda mobil kesayangan kamu. Terakhir pastikan juga transmisi berada pada posisi netral. Jadi pastikan kamu mengetahui semua hal ini saat menderek mobil kamu.
