Why It’s Better To Limit EV Charge Level
Some electric cars aka EVs often have a charging limit, most manufacturers set the charging limit to 80% by default. It turns out that this has its own term, namely "80% Rule", of course, there are several reasons.
1. Charging Speed
Many cars have fast charging capacity of up to 80% which is fast, but slow down when charging to 80% and above. Thus, charging to 100% takes much longer and only needs to be done if absolutely necessary.
2. Battery Life
The latest battery technology can still experience power degradation, just like smartphone batteries. Some batteries themselves tend to degrade faster if they are often fully charged. So that in everyday or daily use, it should be set to 80% so that the battery does not degrade quickly.

2. Kekuatan Baterai
Teknologi baterai terkini masih bisa mengalami degradasi daya, sama seperti baterai smartphone. Beberapa baterai sendiri cenderung lebih cepat mengalami degradasi jika sering diisi penuh. Sehingga pada pemakaian normal atau sehari-hari, baiknya diisi sampai 80% saja agar baterai tidak cepat mengalami degradasi.
